Processing of personal data

1. Data controller
Agri-Mendes – Agricultura e Comércio, Lda, with its registered office at Rua São Simão, no. 108, Comeiras de Baixo, 2000-694 São Vicente do Paúl, Santarém, tax number 502400056, is the controller of the personal data collected through the website agrimendes.com and its online store, operated under the Azeite Mendes brand.
This Policy explains what personal data we process, for what purposes, on what legal bases, and what rights the data subject has.
2. What data we collect
Online store orders
Name, email, mobile phone, delivery address (country, region, city, address and postcode) and, if provided, company name and tax number. The contents of the cart, the order value and the chosen payment method are also processed.
Newsletter
Name and email, only if the customer ticks the option at checkout: “I agree to receive news about Azeite Mendes”.
Contact form
Name, mobile phone, email, subject and message.
Payments
Payments are processed by Easypay (Multibanco or MB WAY). Agri-Mendes receives confirmation of payment, but does not store bank, card or MB WAY data.
Technical data
IP address, browser type, pages visited and cookie or pixel identifiers, through:
- Vercel Analytics, for website usage statistics;
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram), to measure and improve campaigns;
- Local browser storage, to keep the shopping cart.
No user accounts are created. The cart remains on the device until it is cleared or the order is completed.

The customer may withdraw newsletter consent at any time via geral@agrimendes.com. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that date.
4. Who we share data with
Data is only shared with those needed to provide the service:
- Easypay, to process the payment;
- The carrier, to deliver the order;
- Technical providers (hosting, email and database) acting on behalf of Agri-Mendes;
- Meta Platforms, when the Pixel is active;
- Public authorities, if required by law.
Agri-Mendes does not sell personal data.
5. International transfers
Some providers, namely analytics tools and the Meta Pixel, may process data outside the European Economic Area. In those cases, the safeguards provided for in the GDPR are used, including the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, where applicable.
6. Retention periods

7. Cookies and similar technologies
The website uses the following categories:
- Essential: operation of the store and the cart;
- Analytics: Vercel Analytics;
- Marketing: Meta Pixel.
The user may block or delete cookies in the browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the purchase from being completed.
8. Data subject rights
Under the GDPR, the data subject may request:
- Access to personal data;
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erasure, in the cases provided for by law;
- Restriction of processing;
- Objection to processing;
- Data portability;
- Withdrawal of consent, where processing is based on it.
Requests should be sent to geral@agrimendes.com. Agri-Mendes may ask for confirmation of identity before following up the request.
The data subject may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD) — www.cnpd.pt.
9. Security
Agri-Mendes adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. Nevertheless, no transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
10. Third-party links
The website may contain links to Instagram, Facebook or other third-party pages. Agri-Mendes is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and recommends reading their respective policies.
11. Minors
The online store is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If a person with parental responsibility believes that a minor’s data has been provided, they should contact geral@agrimendes.com.
12. Changes
This Policy may be updated as a result of legal, technical or operational changes to the website. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the update date at the top.
